For "man of la mancha" i needed the sound of don quixote hitting the stage while off stage fighting windmills. I dropped a sandbag a few times, and added the sounds together. You can hear the slight reverb from our walls. I wanted the slight echo effect of the stage, so that the audience thought he really fell.

Church bells recordet in liguria (italy) on a tape recorder in the early 1980th, pitched down and processed in order to achieve a rather dark, spooky sound.

This sound is a collection of noises intended to respresent: a blind person's cane, someone trying to crack a safe and a person searching for something - such as in a store room. It was recorded using a shure sm58 and a marantz digital hard drive recorder.

Just decided to upload it, sorry for the noise low humming, can easily be removed in most programs. Decent sound though.

These recordings were made at the annual "tag der sachsen" (saxony fair) in freiberg. Recordings were done on the main market square (obermarkt), where a local radio station had set up a large stage for concerts and other events. Recording was done with a zoom h2, mics at 90° dispersion. This is the early morning after the event, at about 7. 30, stage hands are taking down the rigging, workers are clearing away trash and loading trucks. During the recording, someone starts working with a leaf blower.

I made this using an alto recorder and then adding reverb to it. I have made it longer or shorter by just adding or taking away pieces in the middle. It was made to convey a sense of foreboding. Dark, cold, frightening ambience. I really created it out of nothing! no synthesizers/extra programs were used! only "audacity" to generate sounds and effects over it. Update (12th of december, 2020): it may be sounds like a subway too.
